  • Domain name for orange and teal is ".unix"

  • Space allocations/policy.
  • Permit NFS access, FTP, and SAMBA access. No interactive logins.
    Machine name is hsm.itc.virginia.edu
  • Generic accounts are not permitted. They can be placed under user-id. e.g., Mavis Hetherington, EMH2F, with NEAD directory underneath - which has group "nead" with grads as part of group, but don't have read/write to her main directory, EMH2F.
  • Requests for HSM accounts or quota increase go to accounts (Marge and Norma)
  • RCS group will update documentation, policies, and announce.
