I. Corrections to
minutes from last meeting on January 27, 2003?
II. Old Business:
- Aspen Xeon Cluster rollout - Ed's testing...
- Migrating Engineering school users off: kalman, kelly, frank, flemming,
landau
- SP Migration
III. New Business:
- Combining and Licensing concerns with ANSYS licenses in Engineering School
- PBSPro has been taken over by Altair. Have already needed and gotten good
tech suppport from them.
- IP Filtering on jeeves and VPN clients for Windows (PC-Anywhere) Macintosh
and Linux
- Hamp: Security in UnixLabs: Issue of removing workstation from network,
using it's IP address to mount home directories, using others' UIDs accessing
directories, etc. Should we: end NFS access to home directories, using SMBClient
instead? Other clients that do authentication?
- Can Windows (XP) drives be mounted to Aspen AMD and Xeon Clusters, securely
and routinely?
